keep on running 2010 -
five marathons in five days
In September 2010, Steve and a band of hardened individuals ran four marathons in four days - from Hull´s KC Stadium all the way to Old Trafford, Manchester. An emotionally charged and severely tough challenge which, at times, was in the most hideous of weather conditions.
The day after they had completed the four marathons was 2nd October -Grand Final day- where 26 supporters of the cause then ran a sponsored mile each on a treadmill in our Fanzone next to the stadium. Those supporters included well known RL personalities such as Martin Offiah, Steve McNamara, Terry O´Connor, Ben Thaler and our very own mascot Super Sid the Savings Pig. The last mile was run by Steve´s 8 year old son Taylor.
