2008 engage Super League Dream Team

2008 engage Super League Dream Team

Five engage Super League clubs are represented in the 2008 engage Super League Dream Team.

Five Leeds Rhinos players, five St Helens players plus players from Catalans Dragons, Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors have been chosen in the selection.

The engage Super League Dream Team is chosen by a panel of Rugby League media who regularly cover the engage Super League competition and is based on form throughout the Regular season.

Leeds Rhinos' forward Jamie Peacock and St Helens hooker Keiron Cunningham are each making a record seventh appearance in the Dream Team.

Cunningham has previously appeared in the selection in the 1996, 2000, 2001,2002 , 2005 and 2006 seasons.

Peacock made his Dream Team debut in 2000 and has since appeared in the 2001, 2002,2003, 2005 and 2007 line-ups.

A total of seven players make their engage Super League Dream Team debuts this year including England international Leon Pryce and Catalans full back Clint Greenshields.

Greenshields becomes the third player from the Dragons to earn a call-up to the select side. Previous nominees from the Perpignan club were Justin Murphy (2006) and Adam Mogg (2007).

The other five debutants in 2008 team are Matt Gidley, George Carmont, Ade Gardner, James Graham and Ben Westwood.

The full 2008 engage Super League Dream Team is as follows and the 13 players selected can be regarded as the best in their positions in the competition during this season.
