Barrett shines in March

Wigan’s gifted Australian stand-off Trent Barrett is the winner of the engage Super League Player of the Month Award for March.

Barrett who missed Wigan’s only loss in March (against Hull KR) with a calf injury has since inspired the Warriors to victories over Harlequins, Salford and Hull. Barrett has been outstanding for the cherry and whites picking up two Man of the Match awards in the process.

On receiving his award Barrett said: “We have some real talent here at the JJB and when we all perform we put together some great football. I’d just like to thank all those who voted for me for this award”.
