how does the body use energy?

The body needs essential energy to get through the challenges of everyday life. What we eat and drink helps your body to stay active and healthy. It helps to maintain the body's regulatory processes and also aids growth, development and repair.

This is done through food intake. Carbohydrates and fat are the primary sources of energy, although carbohydrates produce energy at a faster rate. During high intensity exercise, carbohydrates are used to avoid fatigue and keep energy levels high. Energy is a vital ingredient to the human body in all walks of life, although the more active you are the more energy you should take on.
