McDermott wins Coach of the Month

Harlequins RL Head Coach, Brian McDermott, is the winner of the engage Super League Coach of the Month award for February.  

McDermott, who successfully made the step up to Head Coach at Harlequins RL last season, has now been awarded for his efforts at the first opportunity this season.

February has seen notable wins against Hull KR, St Helens and a draw with Salford, and the ‘Quins have currently let pass fewer points than any other engage Super League team.

Brian said, “We have a good work ethic here at Harlequins Rugby League and the players know that is what will bring results."

I've been pleased with our defensive effort in the early rounds but there is always room for improvement. I am delighted to be taking home the first award of the season but credit must really go to the team and our coaching staff as a whole.”
